Tell me about Sacrae.
Sacrae is a modern beauty house specialising in premium hair accessories — founded on a simple idea: an object you reach for every single day deserves real standards, inside and out. We design French-made claw clips, barrettes, headbands and hair ties using patented internal technology, premium acetate, and considered finishing details like 14K gold-plated signatures.
The range lives in three worlds: the Classique Collection for everyday polished acetate; the Mazzucchelli Classique line for richer Italian acetate and deeper colour; and Capsule Editions — limited colour stories, with Swarovski crystal details on selected pieces. You can explore all of them at the bottom of this page.
Which brands do you sell?
Only Sacrae. Every piece in the store is designed and produced under our own name — we're not a multi-brand retailer and we don't carry third-party accessories. Buying here means buying the real thing, directly from the house that makes it.
Is Sacrae owner-operated?
Yes — Sacrae is a family-operated brand. Design standards, product decisions and quality control are handled directly by the founding team, with no wholesale or retailer layer in between. When you write to us, you're talking to the people who actually make the pieces.
What languages is the store in?
Sacrae is available in several languages, and the store automatically shows the right language and currency for your region. You can also switch them yourself at any time. Prefer to reach us in your own language? Email sales@sacraebeauty.com and we'll do our best to help.
Do you have physical stores or stockists?
No — Sacrae is online only. There are no physical shops, pop-ups, department-store concessions or third-party stockists, and there's no local pickup. We ship worldwide directly from our warehouse, and the only place to buy genuine Sacrae is sacraebeauty.com. If you ever see Sacrae sold elsewhere, it isn't us.

What's inside the pieces
The Grip Link System™
Most claw clips hide a metal spring — the part that tires, splays and lets a thick section slide. Ours don't. Inside every Sacrae claw clip is the patented Grip Link System™: a black rubber-link tension band that replaces the spring entirely. It's designed to hold securely through the day and release more smoothly than a traditional spring clip. Open any Sacrae claw and you'll see the black band — that's the difference you're paying for.
What makes Sacrae different from other hair accessories?
Most accessory brands design from the outside in — a nice shape, hollow value. Sacrae is built the other way: around patented internal technology and materials you don't usually find in this category.
Claw clips use the Grip Link System™ instead of a metal spring. Selected barrettes have a soft-touch inner grip — a soft inner detail where the piece meets the hair, instead of bare metal. On the outside, we use premium cellulose acetate and Mazzucchelli Italian acetate, finished on selected pieces with 14K gold-plated signatures and Swarovski crystal accents. And every order arrives in a cotton pouch and an emerald green box, so it feels like a beauty object, not a plastic clip in a polybag.
What is the Grip Link System™?
It's our patented tension mechanism for claw clips — the black rubber-link band you can see inside every Sacrae claw when you open it. In most clips, tension comes from a metal spring; we replaced that spring with a rubber-link band designed for secure daily hold and a smoother release, with especially good grip on smaller and medium sections. It's exclusive to Sacrae and isn't found in standard or mass-market clips.
What's special about Sacrae barrettes?
Selected barrettes are polished on the outside and softer on the inside. They carry a soft-touch inner grip — a soft inner detail designed to make the barrette feel more considered where it sits against the hair, rather than the cold metal-only contact of a basic barrette. How do I choose the right size and piece for my hair?
The honest answer: choose the piece for your hair moment, and when in doubt about thick or long hair, size up. A quick guide:
- Fine or thin hair — smaller pieces and small claws hold half-up sections beautifully; a small-to-medium claw works for a light twist.
- Medium hair — a medium claw clip is the everyday all-rounder for twists and buns.
- Thick or long hair — go medium or large. Our claw clips for thick hair are shaped for real volume.
- Curly hair — let volume decide: larger claws for a full hold, smaller pieces for soft sections.
- Barrettes & small pieces — best for face-framing, half-up moments and polished structure, not a full thick twist.

What materials are Sacrae pieces made from?
Two primary acetates run across the collections:
- Premium cellulose acetate (Classique Collection) — a natural-origin material with a polished, glossy surface and real depth and weight in the hand. It doesn't feel cheap or hollow.
- Mazzucchelli Italian acetate (Mazzucchelli Classique & Capsule Editions) — a heritage Italian acetate prized for colour depth, surface polish and material presence, used across premium fashion and eyewear.
Selected pieces are finished with 14K gold-plated signature details; selected Capsule pieces carry Swarovski crystal accents. The exact materials for any piece are listed on its product page.
Are Sacrae pieces made in France? Is the gold real?
Selected pieces are made in France, and where that's true it's stated on the product page — we only use the label where it's accurate, never as a blanket claim.
The gold detail is 14K gold-plated where stated, not solid gold. Swarovski crystal details appear only on selected Capsule Edition pieces — never across the whole range. Both are always noted on the relevant product page.
How do I care for my Sacrae accessories?
Acetate is a natural-origin material, so a little care keeps it looking new for years:
- Keep it away from prolonged heat and direct sunlight (a hot car dashboard or sunny windowsill can warp or fade acetate over time).
- Avoid water, perfume, hairspray and alcohol-based products on the surface — spritz fragrance and styling products before you put the piece in.
- To clean, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Don't submerge it in water.
- Store it in the cotton pouch it arrived in between uses, so the surface and any gold or crystal details stay scratch-free.
Is it a good gift? What's in the packaging?
Yes — it's a small beauty object someone will actually use every day, which makes it a very giftable choice. Every piece arrives in a cotton pouch and an emerald green box, ready to give without extra wrapping. Add a gift message at checkout and we'll include it with the order. For a safe choice, a Classique shade is always right; if she loves colour, a Capsule shade feels more personal.
03 — Shipping & Orders
Getting your order to you
How fast do you ship, and where do you deliver?
We ship worldwide with DPD International to 190+ countries. Orders are dispatched within 24 hours (excluding Sundays and Polish public holidays). Once on the way, typical delivery times are:
- Europe — 2–6 business days
- North America & Asia — 5–10 business days
- Rest of the world — 7–14 business days

How much is shipping? Is there free shipping?
Yes — shipping is free on all orders over €150, applied automatically at checkout. Below that, the exact cost is calculated from your address and parcel weight: as a guide, around €6 within Central & Eastern Europe, €8 across the rest of Europe, and from €12 for international orders. The precise rate always shows at checkout before you pay.
As a thank-you, qualifying orders also receive a free gift — currently our Premium Boar Bristle Brush on orders over €100.
Where is my order? How do I track it?
The moment your order ships, you'll get a confirmation email with your tracking details. You can also check progress any time on our order tracking page — just enter your order number or email.
If something looks stuck or the tracking hasn't updated, email sales@sacraebeauty.com with your order number and the email you used at checkout, and we'll chase it with the courier and update you.
Can I change my address or cancel my order?
We dispatch quickly (within 24 hours), so reach us as soon as possible. Email sales@sacraebeauty.com with your order number and the change you need:
- Wrong address — if the parcel hasn't shipped yet, we'll update it. Once it's with the courier, we may not be able to change it.
- Cancellation — you can cancel within 14 days of purchase provided the order hasn't been dispatched yet. After dispatch, cancellation isn't possible under the hygiene rules for personal-care items (see below).
Will I pay customs or import taxes?
For deliveries outside the EU, customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country's rules. Where they do, they're set and collected by your local customs authority or courier, not by Sacrae, and aren't included in your order total. If you're unsure about your country, your local post or customs office can confirm before you order.
04 — Returns & Service
Returns, support & the small print
What is your return and refund policy?
Because our pieces are personal-care and hygiene items worn in the hair, all sales are final — we can't accept returns or exchanges once an order has been dispatched. This follows the hygiene exemption in the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU, Art. 16(e)), which is also why most cosmetics can't be returned once they leave the warehouse.
Your statutory rights are fully protected, though. If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please email sales@sacraebeauty.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, a clear photo of the item and packaging, and a short note on the issue. We'll make it right promptly with a replacement or a full refund. Full details are on our Returns & Refund page.
My order arrived damaged or wrong — what do I do?
We're sorry — let's fix it. Email sales@sacraebeauty.com within 48 hours of delivery with: your order number, clear photos of the item, packaging and shipping box, and a quick description of what's wrong. We'll review it right away and arrange a replacement or full refund. No arguing, no runaround.
How do I contact you?
By email at sales@sacraebeauty.com — we read every message and usually reply within 1–2 business days. Include your order number for anything order-related so we can help faster. We don't run a phone line or live chat; everything is handled personally over email, or through the form below.
Do you have discounts, or do bulk / wholesale orders?
We don't run permanent sales or flash discounts — pricing reflects the materials, origin and patented technology in each piece. We do share the occasional offer and early access to new collections with our newsletter subscribers (sign up at the bottom of this page).

Is my data and payment secure?
Yes. Your personal data is never sold to third parties, and payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments — your card details are never stored directly by Sacrae. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
